The last Public Enemy No.1 of the Depression era, Alvin “Creepy” Karpis reportedly compiled a record of fifty-four aliases, fifteen bank robberies, fourteen murders, three jailbreaks, and two kidnappings. Karpis regularly hid out in Northeastern Ohio.
