Self-Guided Tours

Self-guided tours are offered Monday - Sunday from 11am to 4pm

Self-Guided Tours allow guests to independently tour the entire facility at their own pace. Self-guided Tours are a great option for those who may require handicap accommodations as a customized tour of the ground level can be arranged. For an ultimate experience, ask the Welcome Desk about our unique Audio Tour, so you can learn-as-you-go!

The Self-Guided Tour includes the East and West Administration, the East and West Cell Blocks, the Chapel, the Bullpen, Solitary Confinement, and the Central Guard Room. Most guests spend between 1-2 hours on the tour route, which is predefined and marked with signage throughout the building...so you won't get lost!

Audio Wand ...$5 additional

Large, private Group Tours can be arranged for groups of 20 or more. These Group Tours are scheduled Monday-Friday only.

All guests are invited to visit our gift shop and museum where they can view a replica of the Electric Chair.

Tax deductible contributions to the MRPS a 501(C)(3) not for profit organization are needed.
Memberships are also available for as little as $10.00 a year.
